FAQ
Our medical weight loss programs start at $175/month. Pricing varies based on your personalized treatment plan and whether medication is prescribed. During your consultation, we'll review your options and help you determine the best fit for your goals.
Weight regain is possible after stopping any weight loss medication, which is why our goal is to help you build sustainable habits throughout treatment. Many patients use their time on medication to improve nutrition, increase activity, and develop routines that support long-term success.
Some patients choose to remain on a maintenance plan, while others eventually discontinue treatment. During your follow-up visits, we'll discuss the approach that makes the most sense for your goals, lifestyle, and long-term health.
Many HSA and FSA plans may reimburse qualifying medical weight loss expenses. While we do not accept HSA/FSA cards directly, we can provide documentation upon request for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your plan administrator for eligibility requirements.
GLP-1 medications mimic a naturally occurring hormone in the body that helps regulate appetite, blood sugar, and digestion. They work by helping you feel fuller longer, reducing cravings, and slowing stomach emptying, which can lead to consuming fewer calories and supporting sustainable weight loss.
Most GLP-1 medications start at a low dose and gradually increase over time. This approach helps your body adjust to treatment and may reduce the risk of side effects. Your treatment plan will be customized based on your goals, response to treatment, and medical history.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal and are often mild and temporary.
These may include:
-
Nausea
-
Constipation
-
Diarrhea
-
Upset stomach
-
Heartburn
-
Bloating or gas
-
Headache
-
Fatigue
Many patients notice that side effects improve as their body adjusts to treatment.
-
While uncommon, serious side effects can occur. These may include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, allergic reactions, kidney complications, and other rare adverse events. Your provider will review your medical history and discuss potential risks before treatment is prescribed.
GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for everyone. You may not be a candidate if you:
-
Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy
-
Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer
-
Have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome Type 2 (MEN2)
-
Have a history of pancreatitis
-
Have severe gastroparesis or delayed stomach emptying
-
Have certain gallbladder conditions
-
Have experienced serious allergic reactions to GLP-1 medications
A consultation with Katherine Castro, APRN will help determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.
-
Every patient is different. Many patients begin noticing changes in appetite, cravings, and eating habits within the first few weeks. Weight loss results vary based on factors such as starting weight, lifestyle habits, medication selection, and adherence to treatment.
No. Our program is available whether or not you have insurance coverage.
Most weight loss consultations and follow-up appointments can be completed virtually, making it easy to receive care from the comfort of your home.
